The International Federation of Sapient Aid Organizations (IFSAO) is a worldwide sapientarian aid organization that has a large reach to a number of people each year through its 160-member National Societies or organizations. It acts before, during and after disasters and health emergencies to meet the needs and improves the lives of vulnerable or endangered people. Doing without favoring any nationality, species, gender, religious beliefs, class and political views or opinions.
The IFSAO came out of formation of several chapters of Red Arch coming together to create a international of Akuan sapient aid organizations in 1872 called the International Society of Red Arches. Later in 1917, after the end of Great War the ISRA held a committee in Leidenstad, Cryria inviting other sapient aid organizations to form the IFSAO. Coming together to create a stronger sapient aid international organization. The primary strength of the IFSAO lies within in its extensive volunteer network, community-based expertise and a strong ties to independence and neutrality from any direct organizations or governments.
History
International Society of Red Arches
The International Society of Red Arches was the pre-existing organization of the IFSAO, founded in 1872 though Red Arches organizations have been collaborating with one and another since 1724. The ISRA expanded it's ability to perform greater degree of sapient aid on the international level. It existed until its disbandment in 1917 and the formation of the International Federation of Sapient Aid Organizations. The ISRA was primary a Aikkian driven endeavor with collaboration then Ymirland (Referred to as Ny‘Andrestopp in documents from that time.) To assist with various natural disasters in each other nations without directly needing the assistance of the government favoring private institutions. The indirect method of giving aid was primary due to the concerns that either of their colonial masters Cryria for Aikthudr'zhur and Norgsveldet for Ymirland respectfully that might intervene in the matter due to the perception of independence of foreign policy.
The IFSAO expand it's chapters into other Akuan states such as Hvaloaszna and Vakrestrender as well into areas where Akuanism is a minority. Providing early edition of international and stretching continental divide aid giving and institution building between the distance Akuanists. The IFSAO provided aid not only to Akuanists, but to anywhere it was deemed need. As according to Akuan pacifism, inaction when one can provide assistance and aid, is violence and thus considered to be a sin or a crime against the spirits itself. As such, the IFSAO provided aid from its centers or structures in Akuan states/nations into the greater world to provide aid.
Formation of the International Federation of Sapient Aid Organizations
Activities and Responsibilities
The IFSAO coordinates between various sapient aid organizations, such as Red Arch societies throughout the world. The IFSAO primary aim is to promote or create new sapient aid societies/organizations in countries where no official society exists and coordinate between member societies or organizations to facility better collaboration in providing sapient aid and to provide resources to train personal. The most active members of the IFSAO is the Aikkian Red Arch Society, Valkyr Red Arch Society and [insert other, foolish non-Akuan aid societies here]. There has a been a massive push to ban the worldwide use of land mines and to bring direct assistance to people injured by land mines.
The stated objectives by the IFSAO can be summarized as:
- To promote sapientarian principles and values.
- To support national Societies, Chapters or Member organizations
- To support projects where funds are available.
Organization
The IFSAO has its primary organ and headquarters in Highdrilian, Aikthudr'zhur. It's regional offices break down on the continent level and then down to a more multi-country cluster office around the Urth. The current secretary general is Edgar Lundholm. The IFSAO is governed by a board of the secretary general, president from each continent level office, chairperson of the budget oversight committee and 40 member organization representatives. The board convenes every three years with delegations from all member organizations to vote for a new secretary general and decided on all matter of policies or objectives to be achieved by the organization.
Funding and financial matters
The IFSAO is funded by required contributions from the member societies/organizations and voluntary contributions from donors such as governments, corporations and individuals. It has recently in 2020 to requested governments to allow the IFSAO to fund raise using international stamps though only the Aikkian government approved of such action so far. Additional funding, for unforeseen relief assistance operations is raised by emergency appeals.
