Auterna Investiture

The Accession of Auterna to the Imperial Vistari Confederation, commonly referred to as the Auterna Investiture was enacted with the Act of Confederation on 14 August 2022, being ratified by both the Imperial Parliamentary Council and the Provincian Federal Assembly following a popular referendum which took place on 31 July the same year.
The accession of what was formerly the United Free Provinces of Western Suvania into Vistaraland was the culmination of a year of negotiation, and decades of mutual agreements which brought the two states closer towards integration, such as the Vistari-Provincian Open Border Agreement. Prior to the ratifying of the Act of Confederation, the two nations were arguably the closest sovereign partners within the Vistara Commonwealth, owing to the large shared infrastructure network which can be traced back to the facilitation of domestic trade during the Vistari rule of Auterna which ended in the late 18th Century.
