An name change referendum was held in South Staynes on 20 July 2021. The poll was the second of three polls to be held in July 2021. The first was the 2021 South Staynish independence referendum, and the third was the 2021 South Staynish devolution referendum.
The referendum asked residents of South Staynes whether they would change the name of their country to Valeria. 88.39 percent of voters supported the change, the largest majority in a Morstaybishlian referendum ever. Turnout was 66.69 percent. The South Staynes Name Referendum Act passed its readings in both the House of Representatives and House of Peers, and will be implemented on 10 October 2021.
