The Wahdist Republican Party was registered as an official political party on [date]. Despite being officially formed on [date], the party had unofficially functioned for around a month. Mostafa Al-Mousafavi became chairman of the party upon its registration. His leadership earned the party a small following and allowed it to secure a small but significant number of seats.
