Vorvick Dinner

Vorvick Dinner is an annual new year's celebration in the Federation of the Southern Coast. The Vorvick Dinner serves as a meeting between the various petite PMs, petite presidents, city-state mayors, arch-bishops of theocracies and Jarls/Jarlais is within Federation.

The dinner opens up with an annual new year's speech that is broadcasted throughout the Federation. After the speech it is tradition to have members of the press ask questions about the Federal Prime Minister plan for the country for the year, though it is seen as uncouth to ask questions about foreign policy. Seeing the Vorvick Dinner as a moment to discuss internal issues or questions about policies being persuaded by the FPM. As well the dinner being an intensively Côtois affair, to which the topic should always be about the Federation with the exception of the end of the dinner when the FPM makes a second speech about a topic of their choosing and questions about foreign affairs are allowed.

After the speech, the dinner is closed to the public for the first two courses of the meal. Then it is back open to the public and members of the press are invited back in. It is tradition when the press is allowed back in, to have a comedian to be on the stage and tell jokes about the Federal Prime Minister of the Federation. The joking primary being made at the expense of the current FPM, the comedian act is seen as a gesture to show humbleness or humility on the FPM.
