Valkyr Media Arts Festival is a an annual festivial held since 1979, host by the House of Bjørn and the [[Vakrestrender]] Ministry of Cultural Affairs. The festival begins with an open competition and culminates with the awards of several prizes and exhibition.▼

The judging is done by a panel of judges of artistic merit or background and a openly held vote. There are four categories: non-digital art (Usually a physical exhibition, example being Green Tiny Room but also includes non-animated movies), Interactive Art (formerly called the entertainment media), animation and manga. Within each category, One Grand Prize, four Excellence Prize and the Popular Vote. ▼
