Groups such as the Army of Progress and the Suvani Socialist Republic escalated the severity of fighting when both began to work together, gaining footholds within Lower Suvania with the goal of taking advantage of the instability to seize territories for themselves. As the war escalated, foreign powers and volunteer troops began to take interest in the regional conflict, most notably [[South Hills]] and [[Asendavia]], who have pledged support for the Khan, with the former sending a considerable amount of troops to the region.
