In Aprl of 2021, the NKS contracted the services of The Company of the Quill, a Packilvania-based private security firm. The Company agreed to an undisclosed sum in exchange for providing security services, military-grade training, logistical ground and air transport, and munitions support. Due to expansive protests of the military elements of the NKS and its allies, contractors have remained second and rear-echelon combatants and have not taken part in active fighting. Despite this, due to a number of incidents, seven contractors have been killed or have died during the war.
