The TCN-05 Sáibhsiorn, officially designated in Mirhaimian service as "Trodaíochta Caitleán Nilról, 2005" ("Multi-Role Fighting Aircraft, 2005") is a Mirhaimian 4.5 generation, single-engined, supersonic multirole fighter aircraft configured with a delta wing and canard design. The TCN-03 'Sáibhsiorn' is a highly agile aircraft, designed to be an effective dogfighter in combat. Later production aircraft have been increasingly better equipped to undertake air-to-surface strike missions and to be compatible with an increasing number of different armaments and equipment.

The TCN-05’s development could be traced back to the Lightweight Aerial Pursuer Program of 1974 which called for a small, lightweight aircraft that could maneuver with the minimum possible energy loss and which also incorporated an increased thrust-to-weight ratio. Though at risk of cancellation due to increased opposition by major industrial groups tasked with developing them, the largest of whom was Teancair Aeronautics Consolidation over fears that it could jeopardize future procurement plans for the-then still under development TCT-01 ‘Toirneach, the project was ultimately approved due to projections that the budget necessitated that the aircraft be complimented by a lighter one.

The aircraft was officially adopted in Mirhaimian service in 1982 CE under the designated name “Trodaíochta Caitleán Nilról, 2005" ("Multi-Role Fighting Aircraft, 2005), with 2005 reflecting the year in the Trinterian calendar when it was adopted. It made its first combat debut during the Crimpatein-Sayqidi War of 1983 with the Mirhaimian Realm Air Force wherein it conducted aerial reconnaissance and ground strike missions on top of other air-defence duties. Since then, the TCN-03 has been continually improved, with its latest general variant, the Block 82 entering service and serial production with the Sayqidi Imperial Flying Forces, the Thalorian Imperial Air Force, and the Mirhaimian Realm Aviation Service in 2018.
