Emberwood Coast is governed by a mix of volunteer and elected council officials, with a devolutionary model leaving decisions to local and regional groups whenever possible. The highest office, the Federal Council, is an elected body of 7 leaders, selected by a general population vote. The Federal Assembly, the nation's legislative body, consists of two elected bodies, the Assembly of Councilors: a bill-writing body that authors most of the nation's new bills; and the Assembly of Commons, a larger assembly dedicated to the debate and ratification of bills passed by members of the Assembly of Councilors. Overseeing each Assembly is a Representative Speaker, a single representative elected by the members of their respective assembly. Balancing the executive and legislative bodies is a system of courts, headed by the High Court: a bench of 7 judges who interpret legal challenges and escalated court disputes from lower courts.

Since the early 20th century, Emberwood Coast has been a hub for transcontinental trade and international finance, serving as an early anchor for Auroran manufacturing and research through the turn of the millenium. As the 21st century approached, large-scale manufacturing (particularly electronics) overtook shipbuilding as the nation's primary industry. The country is also home to the world's largest cooperative sector, and the city of Aura is home to over 4,000 independent residential cooperatives. As of 2022, the nation's unemployment rate is the third lowest in the UNAC, and its poverty rate is the second lowest in the UNAC.
