Economic Development Era
Hansleigh's main focus was Scientific Advancement. In 1991 she organized the Emberwood Coast Space Exploration Administration (ECSEA). Buoyed by assistance from UCCS aerospace investment, the program flourished, landing contractors in Portside and Kaleidoscope a combined $SHD 16.7 billion in development grants. Later that decade, the ESV AscensionArrow was completed, and launched into orbit on February 29th, 19961998.

After the end of Hansleigh's second term, Darson Nanokono was sworn into the presidency on January 7th, 1992. As a continuation of their predecessor's scientific programs, they authorized the construction of Perpetua Station.

On August 7, 2005, Perpetua Station was ripped apart in a micro-meteor strike, killing all four crewmembers aboard. The nation grieves for months. The incumbent president narrowly won reelection in 2000, facing a 22-year-old Harriet Young, who rode a wave of isolationist nationalism, pushed to the forefront by the development of the internet and instant information services. Historians agree that had the election taken place even a year or so later, Young would now be in power.

Nanokono personally announces the start of the Valiant-Class Orbiter program in 2006, continuing Hansleigh's push for exploration.

Nimona Poole is elected president in 2016, and immediately sets about making the nation's world class education avaliable for all citizens, regardless of gender, sexuality, species, race, or financial status.

The next several years began a slight downward trend into conflict. As numerous new nations rose to international power, Poole found herself trapped in networks of treatises and alliances, and the Emberwood Coast Armed Forces were deployed in several battles; Thecritics cited the Foratemerian incident, Battle of Tival, the Four Days War, allas examplesevidence of the increasingmounting operationsmisuse of the militarynation's defensive forces.

Finally, as 2017 came, the Treaty of Aura went into effect. Still wishing to maintain neutrality in the numerous growing political fissures on Urth, Poole began to forge new agreements with other nations, in an attempt to forestall further war. NimonaThe then-president regained some of her lost public opinion on a platform of peace and non-agressionaggression, and has expressed hopes to forestall further conflict going forward at a meeting in Bursil after the foundation of the new United Nations of the Auroran Continent. Many speculatespeculated on whether she willwould run for a second term in 2020, withamid nothe generalgrowing consensusdivision amongst the electorate. ===Administrative Councils===
The national Executive division is composed of thousands of people, organized in specific work groups, each reporting up to more general meetings until the oversight council. These are elected via single-transferable vote through different blocs (one nationally, six by general vote for specific geographic regions, and five by limited relevant vote through different industries). Each can be removed after a vote of no-confidence after a petition by any citizens of Emberwood Coast.

List of municipalities in Emberwood Coast
Emberwood Coast is divided into 5 provinces 82 rallies, each of which has a civic center, or seat of local government. The state has 110 municipalities in total. The Office of Management and Budget designates six metropolitan areas in Emberwood, one of which extends into neighboring Axdel. To limit suburban sprawl, legislation was enacted in 1979 to strictly control low density expansion of metro areas.

Aura is Emberwood Coast's capital and largest city, with over 4050,000,000 residents. Its 59-rally metropolitan area has been the nation's largest since its organization in 1970 and is the fastest-growing metropolitan area in Aura, with about 2 million residents. East Aura hosts not only the nation's two chip-fabrication factories, but also Aurora's largest superconductor plant. Southern Aura is a bustling cultural center, highlighted by the Gateway Arch and Southgate Mall. Central Aura is one of the densest urban areas on Urth, featuring the historic Broken Light walk and the Twin Arcologies. Portside is home to over 8.5 million people and features the majority of Emberwood's maritime establishments. While Aura contains more coastline, the capital has stricter regulations on industrial seaside development. Therefore, Portside has more ports, harbors, and drydocks, and hosts most international trade for Emberwood. Food exports from Portside include staple crops like wheat and corn from Myriad, and orchard products from the city of Kaleidoscope. Rockport is the military headquarters of the Coast. It contains the Rockport Naval Headquarters, as well as North Coast International Airport. Additionally, the city is just west of the border with Axdel, making it a center for overland trade, with several warehouses, depots, and rail stations. Nearly a half dozen high-speed rail stations connect Rockport to the Axdelian Border.
