In 1635 the area in which Piorunpreria is was colonized by [[Cascadii Government in Exile|Cascadii]]. Then in 1842 [[Tretrid]] took Piorunpreria from [[Cascadii Government in Exile|Cascadii]]. When southwest [[Gondwana]] was abandoned by [[Tretrid]] in 1920 Piorunpreria was granted independence. Piorunpreria respected [[Tretrid]], which can be seen in the flag. Shortly after Piorunpreria gained independence [[Cascadii Government in Exile|Cascadii]] went to war with Piorunpreria and made them a self-governing puppet state. Even thought Piorunpreria greatly respected and relied on [[Cascadii Government in Exile|Cascadii]], the new democratic government had been ruthless on the people of Piorunpreria. On June 22nd Piorunpreria officially gained their independence from [[Cascadii Government in Exile|Cascadii]] in the [[Zachodnipaństwo War of Independence]].
