The Axdel Armed Forces serves as the military of Axdel, tasked with defence of the country, global peacekeeping, humanitarian aid, and to promote the wider interests of the nation. It is a highly capable force, outfitted with themodern, latestsophisticated technological innovations availableequipment, and utilising renown training methods. A modernisation scheme implemented in 2004 is currently in operation to replace older units whilst also reducing the coststandards of futuretraining maintenance.and Duea toflexible this, yet thepowerful greatestcombat fraction of the military budget of ♅47bn ($40.9bn) is going towards the replacement/upgrading of older equipmentdoctrine.

Thought the political landscape has changed significantly in recent history, the AAF can be traced back to the early 19th century when experienced soldiers returning from the first Posolic war were organised into the the Korstazian Colonial Defence Force, the formation of which heralded the devolution of the region as a principality of the Morstaybishlian Empire. In 1969, the KCDF supported a Noroist coup led by Winston Ulysses which took control of the region, sparking the Auroran Imperial War. The KCDF was reorganised as the Norogradian Armed Forces and proved itself as a highly capable force fighting alongside other Rivendale pact states, and was key in guaranteeing the independence of Norograd. Since the Formation of Axdel in 1996, the armed forces have adopted an active and cooperative stance on the global theatre with Axdel as a founding member of the IRSA and supporting their peacekeeping efforts.

The AAF is considered to be one of Urth's foremost military powers with a defence budget of ♅82.5 billion kiribs accounting for 2% of the nations nominal GDP, the ability to project power across much of the globe, a robust intelligence and counterintelligence service supported by the SIA, and a recent history of largely successful military operations.

Army
The Axdelian Army is the principle land warfare force of the Axdel Armed Forces. The force is primarily tasked with the defence of the nation, though it is well capable of overseas deployment and is an able invasion force. It deploysthrough the Taurusamphibious lineagearm of main battle tanks, the Taurus 3 being based on the Kuthernburg Cougar 2 tank though highly modifiednavy. However, the Taurus 3 proved ineffective against Xagrurgian Warrior MBT's during the Auroran-Pacific War, with neither tank being able to consistently penetrate the others armour. Thus, the Taurus 4, armed with a larger 130mm gun which has proved to be more effective against composite armour, is being rushed through development and is expected to enter service as early as 2021. Recently, the army has replaced its ageing Norogradian armoured fighting vehicles with the highly modular SV AFV, which has 6 configurations each using the same base chassis, vastly reducing complexity and maintenance costs

The Axdel Air force is the principle aerial warfare force of the Axdel Armed Forces. It deploys multiplea diverse range of attack aircraft for establishing air superiority, interdiction ofcombatting enemy forces, aircraft and the precision elimination of ground targetsforces. The air force makes ubiquitous use of UCAV's in combat for long-range ground attack missions and reconnaissance, and has very well developed stealth technology. Electronicfor warfareits attacksfighter are a major concern to the air force, thus they employ a wide variety of countermeasure suites and jamming equipmentaircraft. The Axdelian navy employs one Ziggurat-class CATOBAR aircraft carrier, upon which Navy-pattern Jackdaw air-superiority and VTOL Raven attack fighters can be deployed, as well as a sizeable force of UCAV's.

Secrets and Intelligence Agency
The Secrets and Intelligence Agency is the unofficial espionage branch of the armed forces. It consists of several sub-divisions for domestic and international operations. The domestic affairs division of reconnaissance is not funded by the military budget, and is part of governmental spending. Alongside the Axdelian National Space Agency, is responsible for the operation of Axdelian reconnaissance satellites, the network of which is believed to be highly developed. (Leaked Content: known operational satellite classes include; Phyang photographic imaging, Lhyster radar imaging, Trojan electronic eavesdropping, Mytos ballistic launch detection, and Pagista nuclear explosion detection satellites.)
