Tokapa is the capital city of [[the Oan Isles]] - a role it has occupied for centuries. It forms the core of the Tokapa Municipality bordering Kokorutaone Municipality to the north and is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. The city was established over 1,300 years ago and the region has been continuously inhabited for 2,000 years. As the oldest site of Oan habitation, it is the core of Oan political and cultural expansion. With a long history, political and cultural status and large economy, it is considered the nucleus of the Oan civilisation. The city houses the Oan government and major financial institutions such as the Standard National Bank and the headquarters of large companies such as Metatron.
