Salisar, officially the Corporatist State of Salisar is a country in Northeast Gondwana. Situated in a predominantly tropical climate, it shares a border with Tangrland to the east and Vistari North Gondwana to the West and South. The nation has approximately 100,983.6 km² with a population of 5.87 million,
The capital and largest city is Astrazarode, with its population of around 483 thousand located within its urban district. Other urban centres include Fort Pennisine, Rosamund Citadel and Willemwijk, all located in the developed north. The southeast of the country, comprising the province of Avawelat and surrounding areas, is de jure part of the nation, though has been contested by the Collective Republic of Avawelat and predominantly relies upon local leaders in order to maintain basic services.
Since gaining its independence from Great Morstaybishlia in 2017, the country’s internal conflicts only increased, and attempts to negotiate an end to the Salisian Civil War have continued to stall. Following the collapse of the Republic of Salisar, the attempts to create a multi-ethnic government in the country appear to have ended in Astrazarode, with the rule of Vistarian mining magnate Andries Hertz mired by the domination of settler interests within the government. Both the All-Salisian Front for Democracy and the ethnic Blandigar-led quasi-state in Eastern Avawelat have declared a lack of intention to sign any permanent peace accords with the Hertz government in its current state, leaving the southeast of the country in a perpetual state of intermittent conflict while the north remains under government control.
Since November 2019, the southwest of Salisar has been declared an exclusion zone by the Vistari Keizerlijk, and has been under the control of Vistari peacekeeping forces with the consent of the Salisian state, organised as the Special Operation Territory of Upukindu.
