Erwan Nasserethe founded Automobile Redrugus in 1896 to compete with other local automobile firms that had begun manufacturing early automobile models with petrol engines. It would later be granted the honourific title "Royal" in 1903 after being adopted as the primary line of automobiles used by the Morstaybishlian Royal Family.
