The member states of the union agree to defend each other in the event on an unprovoked act of war from another state or when their internal security is compromised. The nations also vow not to invade each other's territory or to threaten each other's strategic interests. Furthermore, the nations have an informal agreement to coordinate on issues such as terrorism, drug and sentient trafficking, intelligence and arms procurement.
