The population is young and predominantly rural. The sovereign state of Nystatiszna has transitioned into a presidential system of government after ruling by Senate consensus for 54 years. Today, Nystatiszna has low levels of corruption compared to most countries, although sapient rights organizations report suppression of civil rights groups, intimidation, kidnapping, labor camps, re-education/programming camps, assassination, election fraud and restrictions on freedom of speech. The country has been governed by a strict administrative hierarchy since it's founding by the Borea Trading Company.
The Borea Trading Company founded the colony in the early 1700s with the intent of harvesting pelts however it quickly grew to harvest all matter of natural resources of the land.
