In the early 1700s Zreiru’a Empire granted a charter to colonize the region to the (BTC) “Borea Trade Company. Originally the trading company was only allowed to harvest the pelts from animals in the region however the charter was later expanded to cover all natural resources in the country. Due to over harvesting of the animals of the region. Many animals such as the Nystatiszna deer, beaver and wolves have gone extinct as have most large animals in the region. Throwing the ecosystem into chaos, causing devastation still being felt today. The company responded to environmental collapse by clearing the forests for lumber and creating plantations for cash crops.
 
Into the early 1800s the plantations required a more consistent supply of labor than the colonists coming from the mainland. '''The First Nekomimi Revolution''' - First nekomimi revolution was kicked off in the late 1800s, when a still unknown nekomimi threw a box of lit dynamite into a marching troop formation. The word of the attack spread through out the plantations triggering uprisings with the nekomimi labors taking there tools against their masters. The alleged leaders of the revolution were dragged out into the streets of Newport and hanged from the street lamps.
