Nystatiszna is a republic transiting into a a monarchy nation located in eastern Borea. The nation is under much international scrutiny due to it's apartheid polices toward the nekomini majority, favoriting the Zrei elf minority. Giving the Ursine and Human a honorary status within the species hierarchy.

The government is placing great care into industrializing and rapidly developing the military after running into several international incidents. Running into issues with its meager budget, it relies heavily on Rikevaarland loans.

History(WIP)

Early History 1700s-1900s

Early 1700s - Zreiru’a grants a charter to colonize the region to the (BTC) “Borea Trade Company.” Company harvested the pelts from animals in the region.

Late 1700s - Due to overharvesting of the various animals of the region. The Nystatiszna deer, beaver and wolves have gone extinct as have many other large mammals. Throwing the ecosystem into chaos, causing devastation in ways felt for generations. The company responded to growing environmental collapse by clearing the forests for lumber and creating plantations for cash crops.

Early 1800s - The plantations requiring a consistent supply of labor, BTC begins to import prisoners and nekomimi aboard. Seeing the nekomimi people as more passive and expendable compared to elven counterparts. Nekomimi was promised a good wage and a chance to own their own farm by BTC recruitment officers. However this was always a lie as they would trap the nekomimi into a permanent state of debt.

Mid 1800s - Nekomimi protested living conditions in Newport resulting in the Corn Street Massacre. Nekomimi uprisings all across the prison colony, the protests happening at the same time as harvest season for the plantations. In response the BTC requests that Zreiru’a send additional forces to “guard” the plantations and “motivate” the workers.” the request being granted

Late 1800s - First nekomimi revolution was crushed with all the revolution leaders dragged out into the streets of Newport and hanged in the public square.

1900s and the Great War

1900 - The market for corn and timber collapsed. The BTC went bankrupt leaving millions to fend for themselves as the shareholders and executives had left the company just before filing for bankruptcy. The assets of the company were sold off to the Elven population on Nystatiszna and mainland Zreiru'a exclusively.

1902 - Second Nekomimi revolution was crushed by the Zreiru'a backed elven militias and garrison forces. Leaders of the revolution were shot without trial.

1915 to 1919 - Great War and collapse of Zreiru'a state.

Military Dictatorship, second and third Civil War 1920s-1965

1920 - The new nation of Nystatiszna is formally declared under a military dictatorship by colonel Naylorbrookisza, formerly in charge of the garrison. Several other groups also declare they are the legitimate government of Nystatiszna resulting in a brief but fiery civil war.

1930 to 1936 - Crack down on democratic protests leads to civil uprising in the streets. The military maintains control after using chemical weapons.

1944 - Colonel Naylorbrookisza passes away from poisoning. Leaving the military junta in charge of the government.

1950 - Increasing pressure on the government from protesters leads to minor land reforms.

1951 - Reforms are repelled and dissenters arrested. Mustard gas being used extensively.

1960 - the junta declares Asta Holsberisza as queen and absolute leader of Nystatiszna. The collective backlash uniting the peoples regardless of political alignment to protest against the new regime.

Creation of the Republic and the Nyasterisuzu trials 1965 - Current

1965 to 1975 - Second civil war ends with the Imperial Party gaining control of the government and created the current form of apartheid government. Nekomimi are formally recognized as second class citizens with legal protections. Humans and Ursine are considered to be above Nekomimi but below elven.

1975 to 2000s - The quiet period, disbanding of the military and Nyasterisuzu trials. Nyasterisuzu trials put the previous members' government and the various terrorist groups that were active during the Civil War on trial.

2000 - The final trial is over and aired on the radio.

2020 - The Imperial Party formally states its goal is legislation into being a constitutional Monarchy.

Political Structure

Government

The politics of Nystatiszna is divided by three branches of government. The Legislative branch which produces the laws, the Judicial branch is evaluates the laws and the Executive branch which carries out the laws.

The legislative branch acts as both legislative and as a pool for political positions. The senate structure being divided into two houses Upper Senate and Lower Senate. Upper Senate being used to fill into the high level positions in government such as governors, department heads, ambassadors, ect and serve for life. Lower Senate fills minor roles such as mayors, judges, secretaries of state and serve for 20 years. It's traditionally that only the Lower Senate writes laws. It is expected that all Senators serve both roles at the same time personally and seen as a weakness to use alternates or substitute.

The Judicial branch is entwine with the legislative branch with the lower judges being filled with senators. Chief Judges attend over a select area or township. Chief Judges are elected by a lottery system of all judges who served longer than 10 years.

Executive branch is headed by the President's office. President can serve a unlimited amount of terms and each term lasting 20 years. Executive branch carries out the laws, maintains the police forces and appoints department heads.

Foreign Policy

Nystatiszna is founding member of the Douglasa Accords and has close relations with Cascadii and Rikevaarland.

Military

Nystatiszna spends 7% of it's GDP on military expenses. The Nystatiszna Republic Military is the military organization in charge of Nystatiszna's military, with a joint command with the Nystatiszna Commissar Core (N.C.C) and Nystatiszna Intelligence Bureau. The branches of the military are the Army Defense Forces, Navy, Air Command, Missile Defense Command, Counter-Special Weapons Department, Counterterrorism and Intelligence. With the latter branch of Counterterrorism and Intelligence under joint control with the Bureau.

Nystatiszna Commissar Core

The N.C.C are in charge of Imperial Party political propaganda, indoctrinating the public with monarchist ideology and maintains a firm grip on the military to assure civilian control of the military. Prior to becoming a commissar an individual had to be registered as a Imperial Party member for a minimum of one years or had a previous veteran Commissar vouch for you and had to attend the Greengin Military Academy, which offers a blend of political and military course. Political officers are usually directly tasked with morale, regulation-based goals and promoting Imperial Party doctrine.

Economy

Nystatiszna is primary a agricultural nation producing canned fish products, corn flour and lumber.
