Though not considered the legal successor to the original Republic of Puntalia, the [[Union of Commonwealth Alliances]] often portrays New Puntalia as such. The debate on which nation is the true successor remains unresolved, but the New Republic of Puntalia remains the holder of the original Puntalia seat. New Puntalia is a member of the [[Union of Commonwealth Alliances]], and replaced the Republic of Puntalia as the UCA member.
