Motion Pictures Corporation is a Phoexy-based motion picture production and distribution company, subsidiary of the Ars Global group. Motion is one of the few surviving studios among those born in the silent era.
Born as a distribution house, founded in 1914 by Butrus Urfs, it traces its foundation as a manufacturer back to May 8, 1912, at the birth of Surge Film Company, founded in that year by, Engin Kubat a film entrepreneur.
Engin Kubat's company would later merge into Surge-Hoork Corporation in accordance with Butrus Urfs's original Motion. With these and other mergers, the company would eventually take the name of Motion Pictures, becoming one of the Big Four, Phoenixia's four major film companies (the others were Viper Studios, Evoloro animation and Bune entertainment).
Motion Pictures became famous in 1954 for the Film Valor Wings, based on the short story of the same name by Matthew Fox.
