The Meremaa Civil War was a conflict that was apart of the series conflicts and unrests in North Gondwana during the 1980s to 1990s, ranging from conventional warfare, civil war and insurgence. With the Meremaa Civil War being a 4 year long conflict in the country of [[Meremaa]] between the monarchist goverment and the republican rebels, with offical name of the monarchist faction being the United Duchy of Meremaa and offical republican faction being called the Republican Forces of Meremaa. With the conflict starting after a series of labour strikes and political instability in Meremaa, with the goverment's brutal usage of the army to put down the strikes starting the civil war. With armed rebels taking over the region of Morzk 29th April, and Tyr Vaines declaring the formation of the Republican Forces of Meremaa being set as the offical start of the civil war. With the Morstaybishlian goverment having already not viewed the Grand Duke as illegitmate, and condemned Meremaa's goverment attempt to join the NCEF, Morstaybishlian Prime Minister Robert Delari at 22nd of May officaly declared his support to the Republican Faction. The day after the Norgsveltian prime minister convinced King Harald III to support the Meremain Goverment, condemning Morstaybishlian involvement as "imperialistic and tatical attempt to weaken Norgsveldet". Leading to the naval bombardment of the island of Dalmaghar. As the Civil War went on both factions and allies tried to gain more foreign support, with the republican faction gaining support from accross left wing circles. International socialist brigades being formed to help the republican faction. The goverment gaining support from many UCA nations but also foreign conservative monarchist ones, like that of Asendavia. The war also being put as an example of continued Norgsveltian-Morstaybishlian rivalries in the region.
