He was the last [[Conservative Party (Volkia)|Volkian Conservative]] member to be elected [[President of Volkia]] and the only president to be impeached and convicted. In 1972, Lukyanov was convicted in a federal court for fraud, witness and jury tampering, and election tampering relating to his tenure in office. He was sentenced to 17 years imprisonment and died shortly after being released from prison. |
