The 1981 Beaumont-Runnells campaign was one of the most expensive in Wealdenite history. Despite her membership of the Wealdenite [[Unionist Party (Wealden)\|Unionist Party]], known for its conservative values, Revie has been known to hold 'socially progressive and libertarian views.' She once identified herself as 'centre-left' and 'both economically and socially liberal' and that her membership of the Unionist party was purely because of her conservative economic values. Revie is descended from the Runnells family.
