Mary Elizabeth Jane Revie (née Runnells; born April 5th, 1937) is a Wealdenite conservative politician, who served as the eighth chancellor of the Wealdenite Council from 1983 to 1987, following the resignation of Frederick Beaumont. Revie was part of the Pink Revolution, which saw an influx of female leaders elected into positions of significance worldwide. She is considered one of the greatest Wealdenite politicians of all time.

Revie (who bore the surname Runnells at the time) was initially Deputy Chancellor under Frederick Beaumont, who assumed the office of chancellor in 1981 following the sudden death of his predecessor, Kieran Ortega. The 1981 Beaumont-Runnells campaign was one of the most expensive in Wealdenite history.

Despite her membership of the Wealdenite Unionist Party, known for its conservative values, Revie has been known to hold 'socially progressive and libertarian views.' She once identified herself as 'centre-left' and 'both economically and socially liberal' and that her membership of the Unionist party was purely because of her conservative economic values. Revie is descended from the Runnells family.

During her time as chancellor, Revie married George Revie-Holmes (born 1934; died 2021) in 1984.

Early life

Revie was born Mary Elizabeth Jane Runnells in Absolution on 5 April 1937, to Eliza Jane Runnells and Thomas Runnells, who was the leader of the CCU at the time. Revie had a moderately privileged upbringing, especially due to her status as a member of the Runnells family. She has 4 siblings; James (1931 - 1998), Matilda (born 1935), Jonathan (born 1939), and Thomas Jr. (1941 - 2011)
