It is believed that during the genocide, Ethalrian forces used inhumane methods such as mass burial pits for the living, mass cliff jumping and being eaten or trampled alive by [[T'uchimoti]]s. Ethalrian propaganda regarded Marisliansthe Marish as "feral abominations", and justified their killing and use in scientific experiments, allowing Ethalrian soldiers to rape MarisliansMarish peoples.
With only a small number of MarisliansMarish people accepting conversion, those who refused were variously dispersed, forcefully resettled, and most of the time, tortured and/or killed in mass; resulting in a mass extermination of MarislianMarish culture.
