Lunæcism is the state-mandated faith of Lunæria and is inextricably tied to the functions of government.
While the clergy was once heavily involved in the day-to-day life of Lunærians, rapid population growth made such a task increasingly unfeasible for the size of the clergy. It now preoccupies itself with management on a larger scale, such as being in charge of education in the nation. Consequently, as long as Lunærians meet basic religious practices and expectations (attending religious services, regularly having children, worshiping the moon), they will be considered a Lunæcist, so long as their private practices do not attract any unwanted attention.
