These people were well settled and maintained strong communication networks. The most prominent of which, and now used to refer to the area's natives as a whole, were the Ukkosta, which can be roughly translated to "''of thunder''" from what is thought to be a modified version of Asendavian. From what has been interpenetrated, the name stems from both the tribe's general presence of power among neighboring communities and physically, as is associated with the large, sturdy frame typical of ursines.
