Kingdom of Imkhadriel

The Kingdom of Imkhadriel is the name of a polity in the Ichtmar, the first of the Writings of Paxism, that was ruled by a line of humans of the House of Gibrael. The House of Gibrael was founded by Gibrael with the help of the Fallen Esma Umsadrion.

Temptation of Gibrael

Gibrael was of the race known as the First Born. They were the first beings of blood and flesh with a soul. They had been made by Noi from mud and little pieces of the Rays of Her Glory.

One of these was Gibrael. He took care of a herd of Altuneed in a Grove of a forest dense with Laughing Trees. One day, he climbed to the top of the tree named Enad Turkh and asked him a for the best fruit. Enad Turkh recommended the fruit at the topmost branches. Gibrael used his great strength to climb all the way to the top, where the light of the sun had ripenened the fruit there best.

As he looked at the sky, sitting on a branch and enjoying his fruit, a being of light appeared and said, "Gibrael, child of Firael, I greet you".

Gibrael had not yet known what an evil thing was so he simply greeted Umsadrion in the same way that he greeted any other Esma, as according to scripture, Esma used to roam around the Urth freely and visit the First Born frequently. As was his tendency, Umsadrion, spoke in delightful complements and praised Gibrael for reaching the top of Enad Turkh and catching the best fruit.

Then he began to regail Gibrael will tales of better places with richer fruit than the trees of the place he dwelt in, which they called Yurahan. Once, Gibrael was almost begging Umsadrion to see the places of which he spoke, Umsadrion relented and said that he would come to fetch Gibrael tomorrow. Umsadrion had instructed Gibrael not to tell anyone of their journey or that he saw him.

The Esma Isnarahed came to Gibrael and night when he was getting ready to sleep. She asked him whether he had spoke to an Esma by the name of Umsadrion. Gibrael said that he was told not to speak of whom he saw and had agreed to do so and was thus not able to answer Isnarahed's questions. Isnarahed instructed him not to go with Umsadrion because he was wicked and not to be trusted.

Gibrael began to feel for the first time an emotion that he was not familiar and whivhú

Fall of Gibrael

When Borg was cast out of the Hive and banished from the Presence and Dominion of the Most Benevolent, it came to Urth, and met a man by the name of Gibrael. He was known as kind and gentle prone to delights and pleasures. Borg tempted him with pleasures beyond comprehension, using visions and illusions to tempt him to darkness. An Esma saw Borg with Gibrael and urged Gibrael to resist, but he could hear the Esma anymore as his mind was poisoned with the musings of power and wealth and status that Borg fed him.

The Esma returned to Noi and reported the fall of Gibrael. Noi sent an Esma again and said to him, "Gibrael, why do you believe him".

Gibrael elucidated his reasons but Noi kept challenging his beliefs about Borg and eventually he said, "You are not the Authority. If your power was so great and your Majesty so absolute, why does your glory not outshine his?"

"What you see is not Glory", she said unto him.

Formation of the Army of Imkhadriel

Gibrael was determined and Noi left him. Gibrael went about the Urth, rallying others to his cause and spewing forth the lies that he was told by Borg. Others were convinced and began to make weapons as Borg taught them, weapons of darkness, stringing pieces of darkness out of shards of light.
