Unlike the General Council, the Security Council consists of only some of the members of the International Forum. These member states are elected by the General Council and typically have terms that span up to 6 months. Similar to the General Council, the Security Council has various rules of internal procedure. The powers of the Security Council include the ability to admit member nations. Although the General Council can pass non-binding resolutions that express their opinions on security issues (such as when it condemned the terrorist attacks on [[Asilica]]), the power to decide security matters falls within the remit of the Security Council.
