Born in [[South Hills Council of Governments\|South Hills]] to Staynish parents Horace J. Lanx and Natasha Brooks, Lanx moved to Staynes at the age of 11 after completing his primary education. He graduated from Koldon University. He married Sandra Banks in 2005, and had one child, Phoebe. In July, the Ministry of Justice began an investigation into Lanx regarding his alleged sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl. Lanx denies the allegations, though camera evidence submitted severed his links with Cabinet and as a Member of Parliament. Lanx remains under investigation.
