[口径]7.62mm [全長]約1,200mm [銃身長]600mm（消炎器とも） [重量]約10.7kg（二脚架付） [給弾方式]ベルト給弾 [製作]住友重機械工業 29年から開発し、37年2月仮制式となった。空冷ガス利用ピストン後退式の自動火器で、日本人の体格にマッチさせたため、従来のA1、A6より軽量である。照準眼鏡（倍率3倍・富士写真光機製）を装着し銃身は熱効果を考慮して羽根状にできている。軽快な運用を手とする場合には、二脚架を付け、良好な命中精度を期待する場合は三脚架を装着する。 |
