Dvalheim is an de jure independent nation but has been called by experts to be an de facto puppet state of [[Norgsveldet]], something the goverments of Dvalheim and Norgsveldet has denied. Dvalheim is also a founding member of the [[Union of Commonwealth Alliances]]. The nation went through 5 years of military dictatorship under millitary general [[Varg Drugson]], in 1985 reformed Dvalheim until a constitutional monarchy, with a complicated political system that holds influnces from both aristocratic and democratic principles written in it's constitution.
