Council of Ministers of Packilvania: Difference between revisions

Prior to 24 December 2022, this department was known as the Department of Women's Affairs and was part of the Office of the Prime Minister. Sultan [[Thumim V]] elevated it to the ''luBawaab luShahitishme ameFamiy, meTafeel nadine meMayaq'', and expanded its scope. Helmed by former Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister for Imperial Affairs, Princess Abdina, it is responsible for conducting research on, supporting projects and proposing legislation with respect to women, people with disabilities and children.

It took over control of publicly run orphanages, social workers and the foster care and child adoption system from the Department of Home Affairs. It now runs, supports or works with other government bodies to provide shelters for people fleeing from abuse and other adverse situations. It is responsible for developing and executing policies that make public facilities more accessible for people with disabilities and other conditions. The Office of the Women's, Children's and Disabled People's Rights Inspectorate is responsible for investigating complaints of violations to legislation regarding the rights of women, children and disabled persons in the country within the framework of existing legislation.
