Kuznetsova was born in Sychi, [[Shipayetsk Oblast]] in 1957 and moved with her family to Koshki, [[Osinsky Oblast]] when she was 12 years old. Kuznetsova was introduced to political activism relatively early, joining in protests with her parents during the [[Blue Revolution]] at age 13. Kuznetsova would go on to attend Osinsky Federal University, where she met and began dating Kreskov in 1977.
