It was formed in 1954 by the merger of two major Tavari firearm manufacturers, Zaram National and Andríž and Sons. The company's name is based on a combination of the words "Zaram" and "Andríž." It is one of the few Tavari arms manufacturers that is publicly-traded, and it is listed on the Nuvrenon Stock Exchange.
