She was a [[People's Council of Volkia|Deputy]] from [[Ozyoretsk Oblast|Ozyoretsk]]'s 1st District from 2002 to 2009, and a [[Federal Council|Councilor]] from Ozyoretsk. She is the first woman to hold the office of the presidency and second youngest person to hold the office.
