Volkgoroda is the seat of the Volkian federal government, housing the [[President of Volkia]] within the Presidential Palace. Both chambers of the [[National Assembly]] (the [[Federal Council]] and the [[Chamber of Deputies (Volkia)|Chamber of Deputies]]) and the [[Federal Supreme Court of Volkia|Federal Supreme Court]] also sit in the city. Volkgoroda is considered the center of Volkian culture, having served as the home of Volkian artists, scientists, and sports figures and because of the presence of museums, academic and political institutions, and theaters.
The city is served by a transit network which includes an international airport, four railway terminals, numerous trams, a monorail system and one of the deepest underground rapid transit systems in the world, the Volkgoroda Metro. It is recognized as one of the city's landmarks due to the rich architecture of its nearly 120 stations.
