The '''Grey Interim''' was a short-lived period of democratic governance in [[Kæra'zna]] headed by the Kæra nihilist movement, officially entitled the '''Kæra Free Association'''. The Free Association immediately followed the 1851 Nylic Revolution, which overthrew the previously ruling Kæra monarchy. Following a sixth-month tenure, in which the revolutionary government attempted to establish a revolutionary decentralized system of sapientarian democracy, the state fell into disarray in the Two Weeks' Anarchy. This period, in which essential services came to a halt and political violence became inescapable, allowed for the previously minor [[Ritual Nihilism|Ritual nihilist]] faction to overtake the government, establishing the dictatorial Kæra Collective Republic.
