The Supreme Court is at the apex of the largely civil system. The body of law is derived from the Ethalrian system of law. This is prominently seen in procedure such as the presence of a peer-formed jury in the decision-making process. The nation does not observe the principle of stare decisis, but relies on the Lambertian Code. The Lambertian Code is a codified set of laws and rules named after the High King of the United Kingdom, Lambertus VII Constantine.
