=Terminology and Etymology=
The term "South Hills" stems from "sørlige åser," literally meaning "southern hills," the name used in the Jarldom of Eyjaria to refer to the regions of the nation that existed on mainland Concord. The term came to represent the three Ulvrikian Kingdoms that later formed out of the Jarldom by the rest of the ulvrikian-speaking people. The term spread into the Vistari-speaking and Staynish-speaking populations, and is now the colloquial term to refer to the UCCS as a whole.
