Born in [[Kurandia]], his parents owned an [[Audelli Group|Audelli]] car dealership in Corren Tree. At twelve, his parents relocated to Jersia City, [[Staynes]] following Kurandia's independence from the [[Morstaybishlian Empire]]. Herinshaw was educated at Goblet School in Kurandia, and then Trinity College, Jersia City, before studying at Jersia University. After a brief spell as a freelancer for ''The Jersian Standard'', he went on to be a special advisor to the Minister of State for Universities [[Lillian Moss]]. He later became her political secretary.
