Born in Taniguchi, South Genesis on September 23, 2000, Sonia Dawn grew up in a musical family. Her parents are famous Genesi musicians Hilbert and Hilda Dawn in their group, [[Dusk to Dawn]]. For her 18th birthday, Dawn’s parents gifted her a [[wikipedia:Roland TR-909|Roland TR-909]] [[wikipedia:Drum machine|drum machine]] for her to use to make her own music in the way she wants. On June 10, 2019, the [[Royal Ruby]] in Greenwood had an open mic, and both Dawn and May showed up along with a few dozen people to try out. Among the audience was a promoter from Yuki Labels who was trying to find the next big thing in Nagato. Dawn performed [[Take Off]] (a song that she wrote and would, later on, edit with May) and May performed her song [[I’ll Be There]]. After the event, the two met up and had a few drinks to celebrate each other’s performances. The promoter came up to them and congratulated them on their performances and asked if they would like to do it full time. That’s when May asked Dawn if she would like to be part of a band and go global. Dawn replied with an excited yes and the three drank to it.
