The Legions remained intact in the face of the Corric Succession Crisis of 1985. The long history of the service has kept certain traditions alive, including chivalric oaths of fealty to monarch and country. These oaths are considered outdated, but many Legionnaires report that they helped maintain unit cohesion and loyalty in the face of near-fracturing of the royal family.
