President of Volkia: Difference between revisions

 

The president is directly elected through popular vote every four years. Elections are held on the first Monday in July and the winner is inaugurated on August 6 of the same year. The [[Constitution of Volkia|Volkian Constitution]] prohibits anyone from serving more than two terms as president. In all, 20 individuals have served as president across 33 full four-year terms. The [[List of presidents of Volkia|20th and current president]] is [[Yuliya Surkova]], who took office on August 6, 2016.
