Line 1:
The Oan royal family consists of the Emperor of Polynesia (Rangitanga-a-te-Moana), his spouse and descendents, parents and legitimate siblings and their children. The Emperor is the head of the family. He bears the The style of Serene Majesty as well has his father, the Emperor Emeritus. His wife, the Serene Court as well as the other members of the family, who are called Princes and Princesses bear the style of Royal Highness. All members of the Oan royal family belong to the House of Ahua (Whare o Ahua) which was founded by Emperor Ahua the Great.

The House of Ahua consists of approximately 1,000 members. The House of Ahua has the Ahua Trust which owns various assets which are held in trust by the Emperor. The Imperial Succession Law determines who is eligible to inherit the throne of Polynesia. Thus, the House of Ahua provides all the heirs to the throne and has done so for over 1000 years. In contrast, many other Houses and royal families have fallen and no-longer produce heirs for their nation's royal family.
