After itsthe formationNoroist government fell in 1996, Axdelthe inheritednew 532government Norogradianreported seaa andstockpile landof based532 nuclear warheads, primarily of the N-5 400kt design. In 2000 they agreed to decommission and dismantle the weapons bybefore 2025 as part of thean Axdel-MBE Nuclear Non-Proliferation treaty. The weapons were decommissioned in 2019, and are to be dismantled by 2023.
