Ethalria spread a renewed interest in the humanities, science, exploration and art during the 15th and 16th centuries. Ethalrian culture prospered, producing famous artists, polymaths, and scholars. In the 1920s, the [[Ethalria (Grand Matriarchy)|Grand Matriarchy]] hid the [[Marislian genocide]] from the world, systematically murdering and expelling approximately 2.75 million ethnic [[Marish people]]. Its economy is primarily [[Wikipedia:Service economy|service]] based, although the country maintains a considerable [[Wikipedia:Secondary sector of the economy|industrial]] production, being a net exporter of things such as chemicals, jewellery, motor vehicles and fabricated metal products. It imports things like oil, cosmetics, fertiliser, food products and specialised components. The North Ethalrian steppe is the densest region for registered goat farms in the world, and exports goat products worldwide.
