The Righteous States of Ver and K'oh, often referred to simply as the Nelic States, were a loosely-associated collection of [[wikipedia:Theocracy|theocratic]] nations under a larger [[wikipedia:Elected monarchy|elected]] [[wikipedia:Diarchy|diarchy]] located in much of southeastern [[Aurora]]. Originally represented under the Salovian [[Boliari]], the Diarchy became the ''de facto'' (and later ''de jure'' under the [[Nelic Declaration of 999]]) ruling authority upon the collapse of the Salovian monarchy in 992, following the death of King Lerin XVII.
